Sorry, Twilight-ers; the soundtrack for the highly anticipated vampire flick has been toppled from the top of the Billboard album chart by Taylor Swift's sophomore album, Fearless.
The 18-year-old country singer's newest offering debuted at Number One, selling a highly impressive 592,000 copies in the United States.
The Twilight soundtrack, which was released on November 4, debuted at Number One and held that spot until this week, when it slipped to Number 5, moving 107,000 units (a 35 percent drop from last week's figures).
Perhaps the record-buying public was all too eager to get the dirt on Swift's recent breakup with Joe Jonas.
Earlier this month, Taylor revealed that the album track "Forever & Always" was about her relationship with Jonas. "I think [men] are starting to realize that if they are involved with me in any way, I will probably write a song about them," Swift said at the time. "If they don't want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn't do bad things."
The Twilight soundtrack features songs from Paramore, Linkin Park and Iron & Wine, as well as a track performed by the film's 22-year-old star, Robert Pattinson, titled "Never Think."
Bet you never thought that you'd get knocked off your pedestal by an 18-year-old girl, huh, Rob?
