Well, if Heidi Montag can endorse John McCain without being registered to vote, and Paris Hilton can run for President with Rihanna on her ticket, then who's to stop 16-year-old Selena Gomez from encouraging youngsters to hit the polls?
The pint-sized Disney diva attended a Ur Vote Counts rally on the outskirts of Los Angeles Saturday.
Granted, Selena won't be able to vote herself until the next Presidential election. But that didn't keep the Wizards of Waverly Place star from being on hand at the event, held at the Glendale Galleria.
No one should be surprised, really. Gomez is already adept at giving political, carefully-worded answers to the speculative and probing media.
Plus, she's amassed a core following of supporters.
