jennyjazz commented on a story: Giveaway Alert! $2,000 Worth of Celebrity Swag!My favorite was Colin Firth’s academy award acceptance speech for best actor in “The King’s Speech.” As eloquent and quick witted as he usually is the moment he was on stage you could see in his face and hear in his voice the gratitude he was feeling which caused his eyes to water and his voice to crack. I agree that he is an excellent actor but did not see any acting in those few minutes he was on that stage. I honestly didnt even think that i would enjoy “The King’s Speech” when I saw it but he made it genuinely moving. Not only was I happy to see him recieve the academy award but also to see a side of the actor I have never seen in interviews. He was vulnerable and put the icing on the cake when he sweetly thanked his wife for making his life worth living. Simply beautiful.
