  • YOU PEOPLE ARE THE WORST. Just because a woman does something provocative DOES NOT MAKE HER A SLUT. There is nothing "wrong" with being "slutty". Criticizing women about their behavior just because YOU don't like it is slut-shaming. This happens when a person publicly or privately insults a woman because she expressed her sexuality in a way that does not conform with patriarchal expectations for women. THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Karen, if you don't want your children to see it, they won't. If it's THIS important to you, you'd block the MTV channel on your tv. I'm an adult and I believe that THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT SHE DID AND PORN. I bet you're one of those people who would ask "what a girl was wearing" or "if she'd been drinking" after hearing a rape took place. You need to open your mind up and realize that you've created whatever hell you're trying to avoid within yourself and you will carry it with you for as long as your hate is deep.
  • Karen, I feel bad for your kids. If they're not mature enough for the VMAs, you shouldn't allow them to watch MTV in the first place, because it IS a more mature network. I'm guessing you have a boy? Two maybe? If you censor THAT because you equate it with "porn", you are oversexualizing the female body, which will become normal for your children, while at the same time saying it's alright for a married man to rub his junk on Miley, because "she's a slut" and she's twerking in front of me. I hope that your children grow up to be better human beings than what you can teach them. I say this because you and pretty much EVERYONE ELSE is only upset at Miley. Thicke was in rehearsal JUST AS MUCH as she was and he knew EXACTLY what was going to happen. But you're calling Miley the slut-Because your children might see it and be aroused? That isn't HER fault. It's yours, as a parent. Don't expect the FCC to parent your kids for you. Do you just NOT want the take time to talk to your own kids?
