I think the special day I would pick would be the day I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It was when I was 21 months old, and I’ll be 21 years old this year. I’ve had a hard time with my diabetes, and I think I should win because that was a date that affected the rest of my life, and I’d love to be able to wear a necklace that shows I’m not being brought down by it.
