Time for the last two additions to my KLS Vday playlist!!! Are you excited??
I’m closing the playlist with 2 classics – the undeniably romantic “Moon River” by Andy Williams (Breakfast At Tiffany’s, anyone?) and Anita Baker’s haunting rendition of “My Funny Valentine”. So burn your CDs, upload your playlists or start warming up those vocal chords. Because if your Valentine’s Day involves music at all, you’re off to a great start, fabs

Wow – a LOT of different approaches were taken last night on the red carpet of the 2012 SAG Awards.
There was the ‘play it safe crowd’, the ‘look at me!’ crowd and a group of fashionistas that took..it…there.
Naya Rivera was resplendent in her grey-blue Naaem Khan.
Viola Davis continues her streak as one of the most regal women in Hollywood. Her white Grecian Marchesa made her statuesque – a triumph!
Help! My kids are beach-aholics! They just cant get enough! Swimming, surfing…posing. *sigh*
Ming and Aoki have become mermaids, splashing around and attempting daredevil stunts. Kenzo is practicing his best “slow-mo” run down the beach a la Baywatch. So fab!
Picking my own favorite looks from 2011 is a tough task.
As a women who eats, sleeps and breathes fashion, I am attached to every piece I own much as a mama bear to her cubs. So, in choosing the looks, I selected based on how I felt and how much fun I had at each event. Sounds fair, right?
Valarie Kaur, director of Groundswell, said it best: “We are hungry to see ourselves in another.”
Home Improvement chain Lowe’s recent decisions to pull their advertising from TLC’s popular series “All-American Muslim” is a disturbing reminder that there exist among us those who would seek to use bigotry as a tool to prevent all of us from truly seeing each other.
Kimora Lee Simmons partners with Get Schooled to give you a wake-up call.
I had so much fun recording a wake-up call as a part of Get Schooled, a non-profit aimed at keeping kids in school and on-track to graduate high school. Their celebrity wake-up calls are voice recordings from education ambassadors reminding students who sign up for them that it’s time to start a great day. CLICK HERE and sign up to be fashionably on-time to school with a wake up call from me! And study, study – school’s your buddy!
Hot off the presses – check out my new cover of Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia. The shoot was styled by superfab stylist Kenneth Goh and I had so much fun. The vibe was sooo fashion and it reminded me of shoots i did back when I first started modeling. Night shoots, loud music, rowdy (but ultra-skilled) crew – can’t beat it! Cant wait to show you all the final story with all images, but for now here is a taste.. What do you guys think?
Kimora Lee Simmons opens up her kitchen to her fans, offering up a family recipe. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is a special time in my home. It’s a time when I get to slow down for a minute and appreciate and give thanks for all the unbelievable blessings in my life. It’s a time when I get to enjoy my family in all their glory and see the sparkle in each of them that makes me want to make their lives the best that they could possibly be. That’s a true blessing.
In keeping with wanting to make my family happy, I also want to keep them healthy. For that very reason, one of my fave KLS family vegan recipes is for some delicious Baked Sweet Potatoes and Apples . This delectable dish is a tradition in our home.
One of the things i was most looking forward to during my trip to Malaysia was the #KLStwtUP meet and greet/party held at Rootz Club.
The club was on fire and I got to meet so many fierce and fab faces. I was overcome with excitement and took to the floor to take pics and shake hands.
Check out some of these pics from the night-of…
Last night’s WEEN SMARTaholic event at the Verizon store on 125th in Harlem was 4G-status Fabulosity!
The intimate gathering was attended by 50 of the most ambitious and beautiful women – and a few fab guys – that I’ve ever met. Alesha Renee moderated the discussion and touched on an array of topics including ambition and confidence in careers, striking a healthy balance between work and family and the importance of SMART technology for working women everywhere.
