It's good a thing Vanessa Hudgens has her more successful boyfriend Zac Efron and the High School Musical franchise to fall back on.

Now that her album Identified has crashed and burned like Shia LaBeouf behind the wheel after happy hour, Hudgens has been reduced to playing gigs like the Midland County Fair in Michigan.

The Bay City Times reports that the state exhibition's stellar triple bill of Vanessa, fellow Disney Channel diva Raven Symone and American Idol season five castoff Bucky Covington failed to fill the venue's seats to capacity.

"We will need to evaluate what is happening here," fair manager Tom Valliere said. "People are making this one of our biggest fairs ever, so they have money to spend. But they're not going to the shows."

Geez. All this despite Vanessa's 50-minute set "displaying dance routines more adult in nature than the audience of mainly girls 10 and younger."

That should have at least brought in the tractor pull crowd.

"This is me, on my own terms,"  Vanessa chirped at the beginning of her show. Maybe it's time to try someone else's terms.
