Vanity Fair's Hollywood Portraits Revealed

Almost more rewarding than seeing which stars take home Academy Awards are the epic, glossy photos Annie Leibovitz shoots of the brightest film stars every February.

In their annual Hollywood issues, Leibovitz takes sweeping shots of the purely A-list, from Woody Allen to Sean Penn, Meryl Streep to the late Heath Ledger.

Dynamic duo's certainly dominate the ten page spread, found in full at VF.com. We're taken aback most by Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes, who collaborating on the wrenching Revolutionary Road.

"A profoundly weird experience," Mendes said of directing his wife and costar Leonardo DiCaprio in bitter (albeit very naked) love scenes.

Even weirder? The odd but graceful pairing of Woody and Penelope Cruz, who partnered their way to a Best Supporting Actress nomination for the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star.
