VIDEO: Alexander Skarsgård Says 'Twilight' Vampires Are "Cute"

Things are heating up in the battle of the on-screen vampires.

TMZ cameras caught True Blood's super-sexy, but super-evil, Alexander Skarsgård at the airport and grilled him about his crazy fans and those other famous vamps.

When asked if he ever encounters women who want him to bite them, Skarsgard answers nonchalantly, "Yeah, that has happened a few times." At least he's honest. (And looks to be slightly happy about it?)

But here's where things get good. His thoughts on the Twilight blood-suckers, played by actors like Rob Pattinson and Kellan Lutz?

"I think they're cute....they're adorable."

As you may recall, True Blood's Stephen Moyer recently called RPattz's character the "Slim-Fast, Diet Coke" of vampires. Is Skarsgard also diminishing the fright potential of Twilight's vamps by dismissing them as "cute"?

I do think TB has better acting than Twilight did, well except for RPatzz, he can do no wrong, Eric too. They're both so handsome.

they are just trying to HITCH on the POPULARITY of TWILIGHT! but heck its a free world! if you need to bash one to put yourself on a higher platform... or popularity then who can stop you?!!!!! I MEAN, IF THESE FREAKS ARE EVEN WORTH THE TROUBLE THEN WHY HASNT ANY TWILIGHT CAST TRY TO DEFEND THEIR MOVIE? ...OH YEAH THATS RIGHT, THEY AREN'T WORTH IT BECAUSE DUH... EVERYONE LIKE TWILIGHT MORE! HEHE!

I absolutely love Twilight. Hense the guest name... But True Blood is WICKED! I watch it EVERY Sunday like a religion. If I were to pit the people from True Blood against the people of Twilight - though I hate to say it - True Blood Crew would win - HANDS DOWN...

anyone else noticed how many of the twilight fans cant defend their movie with anything other than "TWILIGHT ROCKS!!!!!!" in all caps of course... oh and "RPATZ IS SOOOOO HOT".

cut the crap. the vampires in twilight sparkle. enough said. hell, even Barney didn't stoop that low.

back up your arguments. no one is going to take you or the sparkly vampires seriously until you knock the immature, idealistic, fan girl stuff off. (then again, who's gonna take anyone seriously with glitter on their face?)

Alex is such a gentleman, and boy do I love how he cuts down the Twilight vampires while remaining classy. Rather, I feel as though the mature cast of True Blood couldn't care less about squeaky clean Twilight -- it's always the media trying to stir something.

What the f*ck !!! I don't even give a f*ck about stupid Twilight. I am in my 20's and I watch it for fun just to see what the hype it is.
It sucks and bored me to death. I feel asleep at the cinema and would liked to have my money return back to me.

Tru Blood is mean, bad ass, suspenceful and realistic with lots of mature sex appeal !!! In Malaysia, I went through with the first season on HB0, where the second season is not up yet...My only hope is you tube. That is how vampires should be. Vampires who still can be hot but play the evil muthf*cker role such as Eric. Even vampire Bill can kick R Pattinson ass anytime. Hands down ~!!
Btw, Kristen Stewart is one ugly, pale ass and. Zero sex appeal with a straight ruler liked body. At least, Sookie Stackhouse has southern curves and much more sexier that that pale faced , underaged tomboy from you -know-where !!!
