VIDEO: Alexander Skarsgård Says 'Twilight' Vampires Are "Cute"

Things are heating up in the battle of the on-screen vampires.

TMZ cameras caught True Blood's super-sexy, but super-evil, Alexander Skarsgård at the airport and grilled him about his crazy fans and those other famous vamps.

When asked if he ever encounters women who want him to bite them, Skarsgard answers nonchalantly, "Yeah, that has happened a few times." At least he's honest. (And looks to be slightly happy about it?)

But here's where things get good. His thoughts on the Twilight blood-suckers, played by actors like Rob Pattinson and Kellan Lutz?

"I think they're cute....they're adorable."

As you may recall, True Blood's Stephen Moyer recently called RPattz's character the "Slim-Fast, Diet Coke" of vampires. Is Skarsgard also diminishing the fright potential of Twilight's vamps by dismissing them as "cute"?

Hey, I dont understand why the twilight-fans feel offended by Mr. SkarsgÃ¥rd's statement?! He didnt s y "they suck" or smth in that way bu t he used "cute" and "adorable" an d as far as I know these are po sitive adjectives therefore I ca nt see any trace of bashing.
I al so want to say that if the tw ilight fans do not want that the Tr ue Blood casts say anything about T ilight, then they should grow up an d realize how the entertainment bu siness works. Your behaviour is le ading to these interviews because s atements about Twilight from other V mpire-related series gets a lot of a tention from Twilight fans and th at's their goal. Realize it!

Lmao! I agree with Alexander and Stephen...the twilight vampires are like little babies. And you can tell Stephenie Meyer ripped off Charlaine Harris practically word for word I dont know why she hasn't sued yet.

But yeah I defintiely don't get as much as one goosebump from Meyer's vegetarian, GLITTERING, baseball playing, volvo-driving, no-fanged vampires.

i guess im the only one, but i love twilight and true blood [i even love the novels]

vampires rule. no matter how they are. and its cool to see some new things added about them.

tbh being a vamp fan since i first watched Lost Boys what seems like a million years ago....i've read pretty much most of the vamp fiction out there and read the books. I have to say..while i do love Twilight...True Blood is far superior. And no they're not jumping on the vamp bandwagon because the Sookie books were written before Twilight. If this is how people are reacting now, how will it be when The Vampires Assistant and The Vampire Diaries come out...both for a younger audience...and both predating Sookie and Twilight byt several years..in fact I read The Vampire Diaries in high school...and trust me..that was a long time ago...
I am loving the influx of vampire movies/tv at the moment and having studied the evolution of the vampire in media in regards to the ever changing social climates it makes sense to me to have these movies out at the moment...at the time where there's conflict in the real world.
As for the actors saying stuff about Twilight...for all the Twilight fans out there who feel the need to moan about the TB actors saying stuff...seriously...do u have any understanding of the media? They no doubt have a great respect for the Twilight actors as most actors do their peers...and the media is simply hyping up this new fascination with the vampire genre. None of the TB actors have ever gone and said anything about Twilight off their own back and when questioned, have been talking about the characters in the book...not the actors themselves. And lets face it...after 4 books...Edward who i loved in Twilight...was grating on me...By the time Breaking Dawn came round...i was kind of hoping Buffy would turn up...I know i'm going to get flamed for that comment..but i cant help feeling that way. Anyone who knows anything about vampire lore knows that vampires were not meant to be pretty sparkly 'vegetarians' They're ruthless killers and even tho Bill is mainstreaming and meant to be the "good one" (-yeah right) even he goes on killing sprees...and doesn't go all whiney about biting Sookie...in fact he gets off on it...whereas Edward needed to suck it up, grow a pair and stop being such a goody two shoes...
