VIDEO: Angelina Jolie Says You Don't Have to Live Like a Refugee

Continuing her renowned humanitarian streak, Salt actress Angelina Jolie appeared at the commemoration for 2009 World Refugee Day in Washington, D.C., on Thursday. (The actual World Refugee Day falls on June 20.)

During the event, Jolie—who serves as a goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR, the United Nations' refugee agency—gave an impassioned speech calling for compassion for the world's displaced and downtrodden.

“I know the strength that diversity has given my country—a country built by what some would now dismiss as asylum-seekers and economic migrants—and I believe we must persuade the world that refugees must not be simply viewed as a burden," Jolie told the assemblage. "They are the survivors. And they can bring those qualities to the service of their communities and the countries that shelter them."

    post the video of her on anderson cooper. I've noticed that she looks better in video. she looked so young and fresh on Anderson 360 last night.
