Forget about saving the cheerleader; Heroes star Hayden Panettiere wants you to help save the whales.
Noted environmentalist Panettiere has teamed up with The Whaleman Foundation and SocialVibe to create a video calling for the end of commercial whaling.
Panettiere and her cohorts hope to get 1,000,000 signatures for a petition that they will then present to the International Whaling Commission.
Hmm; could this have anything to do with Hayden's recent decision to embrace her own cellulite?
Either way, it's nice that Panettiere can indulge her activism for the creatures of the sea without going on a costly vandalism spree. Unlike some of her show-biz colleagues.

I love her :) she's awesome
Incredible young lady, compassionate and a wonderful example for kids to follow!
I think Hayden P. is a great actress. I first saw her in "Raising Helen" with Kate Hudson. She was a little girl back then, but not a little actress!
I really admire her performance ih Heroes, and now can't wait for her new movie I Love You beth Cooper... If you haven't heard about it check out the website..
