VIDEO: Major Pussycat Doll Drama!
Major drama is brewing as the Pussycat Dolls make their way across the country, on tour with Britney Spears for her Circus tour.
The girl group, made up of singers Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thorton, Jessica Sutta, and Ashley Roberts, has released their last two singles “Jai Ho” and “Hush Hush” under the odd name “The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger”
At Friday night’s Phoenix show, 24-year-old Pussycat Doll member Melody Thorton vented her frustration regarding Nicole’s preferential treatment to her hometown audience.
She said, “I want to give a shout out to my family. Thank you so much for supporting me, even though I’m not featured. You know what I’m saying?”
She added, “I feel like it’s our responsibility to say to all the little girls and boys in the house tonight that myself and Ashley Roberts are examples that you can do anything you want to do. Don’t give up on your dreams and don’t let anyone stomp on you, ever!”
Let’s just say that the rest of the performance was pretty awkward.

Makes sense. Nicole isn’t the prettiest or the best singer and it’s not fair that she’s the only one that sings and gets all the credit. The other girls are the equally as talented and deserve some time in the spotlight!
I agree with Candice BUT I feel as if Nicole is the only one singing in songs. I just hear her voice and the other girls in the background. But the other girls are great if they step up and try to sing more, maybe even release their own singles! I’m actually not at all surprised that Melody has lashed out at Nicole

nicole is trying to hog the limelight and is preparing for her second attempt at a solo career. It is obvious that the record label has no more time for the pussycat dolls. They are just a platform for establishing nicole’s career. Which is very very ew because nicole isnt even popular as a solo artist. She is only popular in pcd, because the appeal is in the group, and their dancing and blah blah blah. not some freaky plastic woman dancing in crates singing ‘i know what you think i like, i know what you think i like’ or about how people want to pick her ‘puakenikeni’ i.e. her anus hairs out.
Isn’t it funny how Melody is on her soap box thinking she is getting things off her chest, being so inspirational and getting some applause, yet then Nicole just goes on stage and says “hi phoenix” and she gets an even bigger applause than Melody, its like everyone just forgot what Melody just said.
i agree you can only take so much for so long it all 5 of the girls who have made the band a hit not just nicole dosnt seem fair that the other never get a chance to shine
She is just jealous of Nicole!! If you watch their story on E that chick is the Xtina wannabe and she was going to be the lead UNTIL they found Nicole at the last minute of the casting call. That wannabe gets no air time so she is just jealous. That band would be NOTHING without Nicole cause melody is one ugly chick!!
FUCK you guys! i love nicole and all but its the truth! i would be freaking pissed off too if i was melody or any other of the members. i mean can u imagine that when i first saw pussycatdolls i thought it was just nicole and the rest of them were her backup dancers!!! i’m not saying nicole is a bitch or something but it would just be nice if the other members get their spotlight you know?

I actually just seen the pussycat dolls perform or should i say Nicole perform lol it’s funny i think that they are a girl band but when they’re performing all you hear is nicole singing the other girls are just backup singers but it is what it is…i

You have no good sense of hearing when it comes to voices if you think Melody’s is “sh*t”. I’d think she is more upset and fed up than simply jealous, and I bet the rest of them are too. But more so, I’m sure they are tired of Nicole being treated preferentially. Yes, she is the lead singer, but the other girls really need more face than what they’re getting.
Melody is in fact the one who brings in a little variation to the songs that are mainly sung by Nicole, so she’s not just some easy replacement. Because really, she is a fantastic singer. Listen to their new song “painted windows”. It’s not so completely dominated by Nicole like most of their songs (in fact the chorus is mostly melody and she has an amazing part) , it sounds great. The only reason I even listen to their songs are because of the fact that they are PCD, not just Nicole. She’s nothing without them, so she should learn to appreciate them.

That’s so understandable, if she was so great that she needed to be featured then why didnt she go solo? Oh yeah she did! and her album was a complete failure which proved that she’s nothing without the rest of the girls
