Now this promises to be one of the more bizarre comedies of the year.

The Men Who Stare at Goats—starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges—details the true but strange efforts of the U.S. military to develop mind-control and "psychic spying" techniques (such as killing goats by staring at them).

McGregor plays a reporter in Iraq who stumbles upon a special-forces agent (Clooney) involved in the mind-control program.

At which point, of course, zaniness ensues.
