News flash: Michael Phelps is apparently still half-dolphin.

The 23-year-old swimming phenom—who destroyed the competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing—appeared on 60 Minutes last night, and was challenged to a race by silver-haired taking head Anderson Cooper.

Big mistake, Coop.

Even though Phelps—who spent Thanksgiving in Baltimore with his family and girlfriend, 26-year-old Las Vegas cocktail waitress Caroline "Caz" Pal—has eased off his training for the last few months to pursue life in the celebrity spotlight, he still handily defeated the fit-but-41 Cooper. See the shocking video evidence below:

Oomph; talk about a slaughter in the water. Maybe Cooper should pick his battles more carefully in the future, and stick to challenging pushy stage mothers.
