She is not auditioning for `Zoey 101´. Zoey was the characters original name before they changed it into Miley Stewart.

Without seeing the audition videos of the other contenders how can I make a judgment based on the video. Based on how well she has done after getting the role it is obvious she was the right choice.

I think she did a superb job. even tho her buck teeth are damn annoying she was perfect for the hannah montana role. say wat u want about her but she’s done a great job bringing smiles to little girls faces and at least she ain’t pregnant.

Wow, she was REALLY BAD. How in the world did she get that part? Her acting wasn’t natural or believable at all and she delivered her lines so awkwardly. this pretty much proves she got the job because of her dad.

Zoey was the original character name for Hannah Montana – Zoey Stewart.

No…when Zoey 101 was coming about, Zoey was originally going to be named Jamie. It was always Jamie Lynn Spear’s show. In Hannah Montana, the name to be used was going to be Zoey but was changed because it was the same name as Zoey from Zoey 101, so they changed it to Chloe, then when Miley got the part, they changed it to Miley.

An unknown pre-teen who had already appeared in a Tim Burton film,Big Fish?? Hardly unknown at that point. Miley clinched the role of Hannah because she could sing as well as act.. Her competitors for the role could act but could not sing. The Disney Producers did a Miley concert test in a theater offering free Hannah Montana tickets in the newspaper before the series was shot. 500 kids showed up,not knowing who Hannah Montana was, and Miley’s performance blew the Producers away. A star was born.

This is not her auditioning for Zoey 101, Before they decided touse miley, it was zoey…besides zoe y101 had already premeired on Jan 5 2005 and Hannah montana premeired on march 26.

i think she is really cute and talented. she deserves the role. Say what you want, i’m not a big fan of miley, but i really have to admit that she’s good. And she fits into the role perfectly…

Zoey was the original name for miley stewart. “miley” came in when they chose Miley to play zoey and hannah.

Ya know, it says in the video that she’s auditioning for HANNAH MONTANA. Plus, her auditions matches parts in the first episode of Hannah Montana

Also, just to clarify, the Miley/Hannah character was originally named Zoe, (not Zoey,) then they changed it to Chloe because of Zoey 101. Then, when Miley got the part, they just changed the character’s name to Miley.

To the person whe said that Zoe became that character currently known as Lilly, Miley oringinally auditioned for the part of Lilly Romero, (which became Lilly Truscott,) but they told her that she was too young. She kept trying, and tried out for the part of Zoe/Hannah (later Miley/Hannah) and eventually got it.

you’re a d**khead! she WAS good and the show is so funny coz it’s so over the top! she was good, and she didn’t get it coz of her dad. HE got the role because of HER and is trying to re-live his ‘achey-brakey’ days through his daughter. she deserved the role! she was born to be hannah montana!

I like the lil girl, but i think that maybe the media should back off her a little… People are getting tired of her/ hate on her becuz they always have her in the media doing something or someone.

Wow, you guys should never write an article about Miley again, as if you didn’t know that the character was initially called Zoey, then Chloe, you aren’t at all professional. It’s called Google or Wikipedia, most legitimate publications use it for research, rather than going on a stupid whim. Miley has never been involved with Nickelodeon, other than Kids’ Choice Awards.

NO!!!!! Zoey used to be the name of “Miley” in Hannah Montana than they changed it for her. Because they liked “Miley Stewart” better than “Zoey Stewart” which was the original name. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think she did fine and that she DID deserve the part that she got because she’s really good at it. but i think now that she’s just getting older and that she want’s to break away from the whole hannah montana thing. miley should just stick to music, her clothing line, and whatever else she enjoys. but i definitly don’t think it’s hannah montana.

@alice: it’s not that much. have you even tried to use lipgloss? all miley has on is lipgloss and eyeshadow and i will say that her eyeshadow is a little baring.

Exactly. Her audition seemed fake and frankly, I only think Billy Ray auditioned was because NOBODY remembered who he was until he starred on Hannah Montana. It wasnt to help her carrer but to re-boost his own! And Miley cant act. She can sing sometimes, but I think it’s stupid how she said she DOES lip sync and then says she NEVER lip sang EVER. Her entire carrer is pretty much lies.
