Well, well, well; look how Miley Cyrus spent her Halloween…
After performing at Freedom Hall in Kentucky on Saturday night, the Hannah Montana star dropped into the Phoenix Hill Tavern Bar in Louisville. Dressed as Pocahontas for the holiday, Miley busted out a raucous rendition of the Joan Jett classic “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” with the band who was performing that night.
Which is nice and all, but, uh, isn’t she 16? What’s she doing in a bar?

She’s a hard working girl who just got off work on Halloween and wanted to enjoy herself. She’s not drinking, she walked in to sing. Nobody else, besides a bar or club, is going to have a karaoke set up like that.

Sure, and maybe she can start shooting heroin to take the edge off because she works so hard.
Problem is, she’s 16 years old, and she’s already been filled with the idea that laws and proper boundaries don’t apply to her. That’s not a healthy mindset, and will do her a lot of harm in the future.

Were you saying the same thing when Taylor Momsen, who just turned 16 I might add, was stumbling out of clubs in the wee hours of the morning? Last time I checked Miley Cyrus wasn’t like that and as a matter of fact, this is the first I’ve ever heard about her going to a bar or club. Or Halloween nights of all nights. People seem to be so focused on Mileys “problems” (which aren’t problems by the way, it’s the media making a big deal out of every thing she does) that they fail to realize her peers and friends in Hollywood are doing the exact same thing as her. They just chose to focus on her because she’s an easy target. Fact is, Miley is not the only child in this business whose been to a club or bar and I don’t see the harm in enjoying one night out. People are so quick to judge her and focus on her life that they fail to see the other teens in this business who are a step ahead of her.
To all you Miley defenders out there, find a 16 year old and send them into a bar at happy hour to say they just want to sing. They will quickly find out it’s illegal for them to be in there. Unless Miley was paid to sing that song, it’s illegal for her to be in there as well. The law is the law, but don’t punish Miley for it, the bar should lose it’s liquor license for that violation.
Mmk, so i just wanted to say that I am a 16 year old and if my parents found out that i was ‘singing’ in a bar– they would FLIP OUT. Between pole dancing on a video awards show to singing in a bar and to recieving an award on how poor of a role model she is, she is setting a horrible example for younger children. For the record, yes, I was disgusted by those Taylor Momsen pics. And no, Taylor’s behavior does not excuse Miley’s. Look a step or two ahead and see why this might be a dangerous pattern for Miley. Show some concern for her, before she becomes the next Lindsay Lohan.

I don’t know of any state that doesn’t allow kids in bars if they are with a legally responsible adult, which I am sure Miley was. She came in Sang a Song and left. She didn’t drink or anything elsethat would be illegal. (in my state and the ajoining states, kids can drink if they are with a legally responisble adult, like parent, spouse, or guardian) and if the Bar managers agree to let them. Some of her family is from Kentucky so I suspect it was either a relatives bar or a good family Friends bar. Underage kids perform in Bars all the time. Normally they are just starting aout in the biz but that doesn’t mean they can’t go in and perform once they are succesful. the Jonas Brothers used to do shows in Bars.

Well if anyone including the author of the article would have checked Phoenix Hill Taverns website in FAQ they state you must be 21 to enter, except on occasions when they host large special events, these are family friendly events,and admission to persons under 21 is allowed on these days. So if their annual Halloween Party and Costume contest are one of these then its legal her being there, so in my opinion on these “phamily” nights I see no difference in parents joining their kids here for a bite to eat and maybe some karaoke than when they take them to restaurants that are considered bar and grills like Bennigan’s and O’ Charley’s who have full bars and drunk patrons acting like asses.

I think that anyone who has ever been there would agree on that. People go there to get drunk and get laid, just the way it is. Anyone with young children know how hard it is to try to keep them from growing up too fast as it is without seeing there favorite Disney channel star out partying at a bar. I don’t care if she did just go in and sing a song and leave, shes 16 and has no reason to be there. If any other 16 year old had tried to get in there the same night even with parents, they would have laughed at them.
