Hope Orenthal James “O.J.” Simpson enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine on Friday; he’s not likely to be seeing much of it again anytime soon.

The former football star and rental-car spokesman was convicted of 12 counts of armed robbery and kidnapping on Friday.

Given that he’s facing possible life in prison (sentencing will be decided on December 5), the video below—which shows Simpson outside the Las Vegas courtroom just before his conviction—may represent his last moments as a free man.

Interestingly, the conviction came on the 13th anniversary of Simpson’s acquittal on charges of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman. (He was later found guilty of the crimes in a civil case.)

Hmm; guess 13 really is an unlucky number. For some people.
