Kourtney Kardashian Reveals How She Lost 44 Pounds in 6 Months (VIDEO)
But after welcoming her daughter Penelope in July, last year, the 33-year-old has discovered a healthier way to shed the pregnancy pounds.
The E! Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote on her Celebuzz blog: “It took me twice as long as last time but I feel healthy and really much better about it.”
In the latest issue of US Weekly, Kourtney flaunted her trim and taut figure in magenta and yellow string bikinis.
She credited her success to a combination of exercise, healthy eating habits and active mommy duty — such as pushing around a stroller, or doing sit-ups — in between playing with Penelope.
Kourtney also does a 7 A.M. work out session with celeb trainer Tracy Anderson – who trains other A-listers such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna.
She has one person to thank for keeping her fit, however.
“If she [Kim] wasn’t scheduling the workouts, I probably wouldn’t have been as motivated,” Kourtney admitted.
What’s more, a typical meal, she revealed, goes as follows:
Breakfast (Following Her Work Out): A protein shake with banana, apple, nonfat yogurt, milk, almonds, cinnamon, ice, and a scoop of vanilla QuickTrim.
Lunch: A piece of fish or salad with some avocado.
Dinner: A reasonable portion of homemade butternut squash, tomato, or zucchini soup created by her Vitamix blender.
Snack: Some gluten free crackers or celery with hummus.
The key is portion control and cheating once in a while. “You can’t be trapped by some kind of strict diet plan,” Kourtney explained.
