In her 16 years, Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez has unquestionably gained a lot of wisdom. So when she makes her New Year's resolutions public, it's probably best for all of us to listen.

The Disney sensation released a video on YouTube in which she and her family announce their plans for self-improvement in 2009, all to the inspirational strains of the 1997 Verve hit "Lucky Man." She also thanks her fans for following her on "this whole adventure" that is her meteoric rise to fame. Click the video below and feel the burn!!!!!!

Huh; she resolves to be a better friend this year? Well, that should be a pretty attainable goal. After all, she's working with a pretty low bar on that front.
