Walter Cronkite Has Passed Away

TV news legend Walter Cronkite passed away today at the age of 92 in New York City.

The news anchor was onced dubbed “the most trusted man in America” has been in failing health for quite some time and was seriously ill with cerebrovascular disease.

“My father Walter Cronkite died,” his son Chip said Friday night, while CBS interrupted programming to show an obituary of the legendary anchorman.

Cronkite was on the air during many of our nation’s biggest moments, including the Great Depression, several wars, and life-changing events such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the moon landing.

He will be greatly missed.
