You can’t win ‘em all. Ask Paula Abdul, who aimed for kitten but came out as cougar with a disastrous animal print on the American Idol carpet.

Abdul, giving Doll vibes with swept bangs, super-bronzer and a cinched waist looks as though she was mauled by a tactless tiger.

And then there’s the an overcompensating Diane Kruger, giving an Elizabethan vibe at the César Film Awards in Paris.

We understand she’s about to break through in Quentin Tarantino‘s Inglorious Bastards alongside Brad Pitt, but that doesn’t mean we’re ready to worship this frothy dress with theatrical embellishment. Off with your head this week, Krugs.
