There’s a storm brewing over Lauren Conrad‘s Kingdom, and her name is Whitney Port.

This is not the unassuming blonde (seen here leaving a screening in New York) we met seasons and seasons ago, pining for a humble fashion career and spooning out dating advice.

This chick, now the star of her own show, is suited, booted and ready to steal the MTV Reality crown.

While The City is a ways away, Port is giving us a leading lady look: tight, trendy, authoritative. The well-heeled Port is traipsing around NYC armed with brands like Diane Von Furstenberg, a whole new pile of boy problems and the best possible springboard in the form of The Hills.

LC’s Sunset Strip foibles don’t seem so chic anymore. Watch your back, Conrad.
