Who is Olivier Martinez?
Olivier Martinez was recently introduced to the Celebuzz faithful as Halle Berry’s new make-out buddy, but the 44-year-old French actor is famous in his own right for his chiseled looks, his lengthy history of dating A-listers and, of course, his work as an actor.
The so-called “French Brad Pitt” rose to fame in the nineties due to his work in a variety of French films. He won a Cesar Award (France’s version of an Oscar) in 1994 for “Most Promising Actor” for his role in Un, deux, trois, soleil, but it wasn’t until 2002′s sexy thriller Unfaithful with Diane Lane that audiences really perked up and took notice.
In keeping with his nickname, Martinez dated Angelina Jolie (before Brad Pitt) while the pair filmed Taking Lives in 2003. He perhaps was (until now) most famously paired with international pop star Kylie Minogue, who he dated from 2003-2007. He’s also been linked to French actress Juliette Binoche and Oscar winner Mira Sorvino.
Currently, Martinez and Berry are filming Dark Tide, a thriller set in shark infested waters.
