Widespread Malice Sparks MTV Movie Awards Seating Drama

Getting a seat at this year's MTV Movie Awards was already difficult enough. But according to the New York Post, seating arrangements were made even more arduous by the fact that so many of the attendees can't stand each other.

A source who overheard conversations prior to the ceremony reveals that there was a scramble among the show's producers to keep certain celebrities away from others, lest unpleasantness were to break out.

"A producer looked at the original seating chart and realized the whole thing had to be reworked because so many people in the house hated one another," laughs the mole.

Apparently, The City star Whitney Port had to be segregated from Twilight actress Kristen Stewart, because Port had once called the vampire flick "really bad" and characterized Stewart's role in particular as "one-dimensional."

Port and her former Hills co-stars Lauren Conrad, Stephanie Pratt and Brody Jenner also had to be kept away from co-star Audrina Patridge because, as one producer reportedly noted, "everyone on the show hated her."

Meanwhile, all of the Hills-ers were seated far away from celebutante Paris Hilton, due to the fact that Hilton had recently called their show "lame and fake" and "cheesy." 

Disney stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus were also reportedly corralled away from Nickelodeon luminaries such as iCarly's Miranda Cosgrove and True, Jackson's Keke Palmer because a Nickelodeon brass felt that "all the Disney kids are tainted."

"Basically, it sounded like all hell had broken loose trying to fit all these people into one room," says the source.

Maybe cages would have been in order?
