Will Ferrell Makes Minor League Baseball More Hilarious (VIDEO)
From Blades of Glory to Semi-Pro, Will Ferrell has played plenty of hilarious athletes on the big screen. But on Thursday night the former SNL funnyman brought his LOL-tastic jock routine into real life, and onto the pitcher's mound, in Texas.
Masquerading as new recruit Billy Ray "Rojo" Johnson, Ferrell—wearing a fake mustache and ludicrous bling around his neck—took to the field for the Houston Astros' Triple A club the Round Rock Express and proceeded to bring mayhem and hilarity to the Express' game against Nashville Sounds. Approaching the mound with a bag full of beer cans, Ferrell managed to get ejected from the game after tossing one hilariously bad pitch, then got into a melee with the batter, spraying him with beer and chasing him around the field.
