Since hopes of Britney Spears pulling a reptile out of her thong at this year’s MTV VMAs have been dashed, the free world needs a new pop trainwreck to show up at the awards gig.

TMZ‘s banking on Michael Jackson to fill that open slot.

“Sources close to the awards tell us MTV honchos have been working OT to get Jacko to reappear at the awards. We’re told a deal is as good as sealed to have MJ present an award with sister Janet.”

Does this mean Jackson will be handing out bras and panties to the audience? (Janet, that is. Not Michael.)
