Zac Efron Beats Miley at the Box Office

Sorry Miley Cyrus, it looks like you’ve got to settle for second best this week. Or fourth best.

Hannah Montana: The Movie was pushed out of the top spot at the weekend box office by the new Zac Efron flick, 17 Again, which racked up a better-than-expected $24.1 million. Miley’s film scored a cool $12.7 million, which puts her at the number four spot, behind Zac’s new flick, the Russell Crowe/Ben Affleck thriller State of Play, and the animated feature Monsters vs. Aliens.

Dan Fellman, the head of distribution for Warner Brothers, spoke out in support of Zac, saying, “There’s no question that Zac’s a star.”

Well, when you look like this, who wouldn’t want to see you on the big screen?
