Zac Efron and Claire Danes appeared at the premiere for director Richard Linklater's Me and Orson Welles at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday evening.
The two looked resplendent—Efron in a serious brown suit, and Danes lovely in midnight blue.
Busy actor Efron stars as a teenager in 1937 hired to appear in Orson Welles' production of Julius Caesar, where he falls in love with a production assistant played by Danes.
This is fancy lad Efron's first appearance in a more serious type of role.
He memorably co-starred in the 2007 film adaption of the Broadway musical Hairspray.
He wore a greasy pompadour in that John Waters extravaganza, and did a lot of dancing and singing.
Is he ready to play with the big boys? That isn't a fat joke about Orson.
