Merv Griffin’s sprawling, gorgeous mansion in La Quinta, Calif., is up for sale — and it could be yours! Assuming you have $9.5 to spend, that is.
The property — which has been used as a short-term rental since Griffin passed away in 2007 — was put on the market last week, according to reports.
So, what will $9.5 million actually get you?
Drum roll, please: 5,o00 square feet of main housing; 12 bathrooms; 14 — yes, 14! — bedrooms; a 1,200 square-foot living and dining room area with 20-foot ceilings; a stable; and, of course, a pool.
For decades, Griffin served as host of the popular talk show The Merv Griffin Show. He also created such hit game shows as Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
He died on Aug. 12, 2007, of prostate cancer.
