The 2012 Olympics are finally here! Well, almost, anyway.

On Friday night, athletes from around the world will gather in London to kick off the Games, which won’t officially begin until the Olympic Flame is lit at the end of Opening Ceremonies.

As per tradition, many famous faces have taken part in carrying the Olympic Torch in the lead up to Friday’s big lighting. They include: Rupert Grint, of Harry Potter fame; singer John Legend; and Black Eyed Peas’ member will.i.am.

They now join a number of celebrities who have done the honor for previous Games — everyone from Tom Cruise to Goldie Hawn.
