Beliebers, prepare to swoon.
Justin Bieber debuted his highly-anticipated music video for “As Long as You Love Me,” his latest single from his chart-topping album Believe.
The video follows a heart-wrenching love story, showing Bieber falling for a brunette beauty and fighting against all odds for their young head-over-heels relationship.
So does love conquer all in “ALAYLM”?
After his girlfriend’s overprotective father warns Bieber to back off, the enamored singer secretly rendezvous with his lady love.
In between some bust-a-move scenes and a rap from Big Sean, flashbacks of happier times show the couple canoodling in bed, sharing sun-soaked bike rides and hooking up on secluded-yet-scenic rooftops.
Eventually the lovebirds decide to escape together, in hopes of driving off into the sunset and never looking back.
But their plan gets thwarted by her disapproving dad, played by Reservoir Dogs‘ Michael Madsen. Risking it all to save his romance, the Biebs gets bloodied and bruised after going fist-to-fist with the father.
From Madsen to director Anthony Mandler, Bieber enlisted some A-list genius to produce ‘ALAYLM.’ And delving deep into the lyrics, the clip has far more of a storyline than Bieber’s VMA-nominated “Boyfriend” video, which features mostly smooth moves, fancy cars and pretty people.
