Katie Holmes has enrolled her daughter in the brand-new Avenues school, a $40,000-a-year private institution opening in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood this fall.
It will make for an easy morning commute for Holmes and Tom Cruise‘s little girl.
Suri, 6, will be based at the school’s flagship location, which overlooks the High Line and is just blocks from 33-year-old Holmes’ Chelsea apartment, according to Life & Style.
Avenues boasts an art fitness center, rooftop playgroup and a partnership with nearby Chelsea Piers, where Suri takes gymnastic lessons regularly.
And the world school is also building campuses in China, India, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australia. In fact, Avenues plans to open a total of 20 campuses on five continents.
That is why the school, which caters to jet-setting parents who want to take their children traveling with them, may perfectly suit Suri. The youngster will be able to travel all over the world with her actor parents — who reached a speedy divorce settlement on July 9 — and still further her education while away from her homebase.
It had been reported that Suri would attend a $38,000-a-year Upper East Side Catholic school, Convent of the Sacred Heart, but it appears that is no longer the case.
Meanwhile Cruise, 50, has whisked Suri away to Disney World in Florida, where the father-daughter duo has been snapped splashing around in the pool at Typhoon Lagoon.
