The trailer for Red Dawn — a remake of the 1984 action war film of the same name — has been recently released. The reboot centers around a group of teenagers whose American town is invaded by North Korean soliders. Forced to hide out in the woods, the teens arm and train themselves to fight back with guerrilla warfare.
How does it fare against the original?
For one, Chris Hemsworth will be taking on the role of Jed Ekhert — made famous by the late Patrick Swayze — while Josh Peck will play the marine’s little brother Matt.
The Hunger Games‘ Josh Hutcherson also stars in the film as Robert Morris, a teenager who joins forces with the Ekhert brothers in the woods. The role was previously played by The Amazing Spider-man actor C. Thomas Howell.
Isabel Lucas, Adrianne Palicki, and Tom Cruise‘s son Connor round out the cast of teenage soldiers fighting for their freedom.
