Meet the new faces of Glee!

With only two weeks until the Season 4 premiere of FOX’s hit show, the countdown to the first day of school has officially begun — and as per usual, the new kids are especially nervous.

So what can we expect from Glee’s freshman class? Get the scoop on Jake Puckerman (Jacob Artist), Marley (Melissa Benoist), Kitty (Becca Tobin), Brody (Dean Geyer) and Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) below.

Brody Weston is a hunky junior at NYADA who Rachel (Lea Michele) takes a certain interest in. “He’s the only guy Finn really has to compete with for Rachel,” says Michele.

“I’ve already gotten a couple of tweets from Glee fans … from Finn fans!” Geyer adds.

As for where Rachel will be when Season 4 kicks off, Michele says, “She misses Kurt, and she doesn’t really know what’s going on with her and Finn, so she’s just a little fish in a big city.”

Of course, her NYADA dance instructor, Cassandra July (Kate Hudson), isn’t making it any easier for Rachel to cope.

“She’s pretty nasty,” admits Hudson. “She’s pretty tough on her students, and she’s really tough on Rachel.”

Back at McKinley, Marley is New Directions’ newest member, and judging from that poorly styled ensemble, she might just be the new Rachel. Marley and Rachel will reportedly share a duet in the premiere episode, taking on Billy Joel’s “New York State Of Mind.”

As for Jake, as Puck’s (Mark Salling) little brother, he’s McKinley’s new bad boy. “He definitely has a little bit of an attitude problem,” says Artist. “I think some things in the past have made him have his guard up.”

Meanwhile, mean girl Kitty — channelling her inner Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) circa Season 1 — is out to get Brittany (Heather Morris) and become head Cheerio.

Glee Season 4 premieres Thursday, Sept. 13 at 9 PM on FOX.
