Showing off the hard-earned results of her dieting and sweat-dripping workouts, the Weight Watchers spokeswoman, 31, slipped into cut-offs as she celebrated fiancé Eric Johnson‘s birthday in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sept. 20. Gathering among family and friends, Simpson flaunted her toned pins in sky-high red heels at Shutters on the Beach.
Still, the singer-actress-designer has struggled to get her body to bounce back.
In recent weeks, Simpson has opened up about her post-baby body, admitting weight loss has proven more painstaking than expected.
“I put on more baby weight than I was planning on putting on,” Simpson told Katie Couric on her new daytime talker, Katie. “So I think that I really have to separate myself from the world’s expectations and really just look inside of myself and have a relationship with myself and be healthy with myself.”
“I set small goals for myself so that I could achieve them every week,” the Fashion Star mentor explained of her Weight Watchers regime. “That’s been great. I have lost weight every week, thank God. But I have worked really, really hard.”
“I lost enough weight to where I can pat myself on the back,” she said, noting she is “10 pounds away” from her goal weight.
And that’s not the only reason Simpson should be proud. The new mom can already squeeze into a pair of denim shorts — which she memorably wore in her most noteworthy big-screen role as Daisy Duke in 2005’s The Dukes of Hazzard.
