The New Normal is getting some celebrity guest stars. Nicole Richie and George Takei will join the hit new NBC show as themselves according to show creator Ryan Murphy. No additional information is available regarding their plot lines. [EW]
What would happen on a Downton Abbey prequel?
It’s been reported that Downton Abbey writer Julian Fellowes will write a prequel to the hit British show. The prequel will follow how Earl and the Countess of Grantham first met. While Fellows seemed to be talking about a literary prequel, it is likely a TV or film adaptation would take place. However, Fellowes says any spin-off of Abbey would not be broadcast until the current series ends. [BBC]

In a project organized by Edward Norton, fans can pick a team and give their celebrity a chance to earn more money for their charity with each word they play. Celebrities participating in the event include Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce, actress Kristen Bell, and singer John Legend among others. [Zap2it]
American Horror Story: Asylum is adding a Breaking Bad alum. Emmy nominated actor Mark Margolis has been cast in a recurring role on the anthology show. Details are slim on his character but we do know his name, Sam Goodwin. In addition, Amy Farrington and David Chisum will play a couple on the show. American Horror Story returns on Oct. 17 on FX. MTV has also announced a new documentary series entitled This is How I Made It. The half-hour show will focus on two celebrities per episode and document how they’ve got to where they are in their respective businesses. The show premieres with Awkward’s Ashley Rickards and rapper 2 Chainz. Other celebrities whose stories will be heard include Demi Lovato, Chris Brown, Naya Rivera and Gabby Douglas among others. The show premieres Saturday, Oct. 13 at 12 PM. [MTV]
This fall, Logo will explore interesting words and people when they start their new documentary series, WHAT!? Logo Documentaries. The series will premiere with Loving Large which focuses on people who love being on the large side or who love loving those who are overweight. Loving Large kicks off the series on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 10 PM. [LOGO]
