Last week, Simon Cowellsent public rants out when FOX partially aired The X Factor’s conclusion of the Judges’ Homes round, then pulled the episode from its West Coast airing all due to a rain delay during Game 3 of the National League Championship.

This week, FOX is winning Cowell back. On Monday, the network announced the Season 3 renewal for the talent competition.

“I couldn’t be happier about The X Factor already being renewed for another season,” Cowell said in a statement.

“I am so proud of the show and the team who have made it this season,” he continued. “I want to thank our incredible sponsors for their support and creativity, and FOX for going out of their way to do everything they can to make this show a success. Most importantly, I have to personally thank our amazing fans for the support and enthusiasm they have given to The X Factor. Our main commitment will always be to find great talent, and let’s not forget, we are now days away from our first live shows. The gloves are off! Expect fireworks!”

While September’s Season 3 premiere with new judges Britney Spearsand Demi Lovato premiered to a lackluster 8.5 million viewers (in a head-to-head with NBC’s The Voice), the network reports its currently averaging 10.6 million viewers per episode.

Also, it brags that the sophomore season of the talent competition is currently a Top 15 show among the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demo. Additionally, it’s in the Top 5 for teen viewers – another very attractive group for advertisers.

FOX will re-air the conclusion of The X Factor’s Judges’ Homes round on Tuesday at 9:30 PM. On Thursday, Nov. 1, the live shows kick off with new hosts Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez at 8 PM. And then FOX is airing a special live show on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 8 PM in which the finalists will be announced.

The X Factor is produced by Syco Television and FremantleMedia North America.
