The Mother Monster unveiled her newest body art — a neck tattoo reading “R†O” — on her Instagram this weekend. The 26-year-old singer had the design done in Brazil during the South American leg of her global Born This Way Ball tour.
“R†O. Monsters, all over the world you continue to inspire me everyday, [you’re] like an endless ocean of possibilities,” she wrote of her new ink. “The font was derived out of the signatures of three fans, all from different neighborhoods and ages.”
Gaga, who now has an overall total of 13 tattoos on her body, said the tat is dedicated to her international fans and how it’s a representation of how connected everyone is.
“Represents how music brings us 2gether,” she added.
In August, the “Edge of Glory” singer announced the title of her new album, ARTPOP, by getting the phrase tattooed on her left forearm.
“New ink new album,” she tweeted. “Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title.”
Gaga has a unicorn tattoo with the words “Born This Way” — as a reference to her third album of the same name — inked on her upper left thigh and had a cherub inked in front of a live audience this past September.
