Just in time for the upcoming awards season: Ashton Kutcher‘s transformation into Steve Jobs is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
Out of the 115 films making their debut on Jan. 17-27, the actor’s biopic, Jobs, was selected as the festival’s closing-night film in Park City, Utah, according to Variety. The much-anticipated flick chronicles the late Apple founder’s rise to fame as one of the revered entrepreneurs of the 20th century.
“Ashton is going to blow a lot of people away. His performance was absolutely transformational,” Kutcher’s costar Josh Gadtold Us Weekly. If he looked any more like Steve Jobs, I think it would just confuse a lot of people in thinking Steve Jobs never passed away. It’s that uncanny.”
Hollywood’s finest actors and actresses never miss a chance to attend one of the film industry’s biggest events of the year — and the 2013 Sundance lineup is proving to be another star-studded soiree. Also celebrating their respective film’s debut: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman, Shia Labeoufand Paul Rudd.
