Del Toro will make the haunted house horror film Crimson Peak for Legendary Pictures, and Lucinda Coxon has been hired to rewrite the screenplay co-written by Del Toro and Matthew Robbins. Yes, Jack Reacher and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol producer David Ellison is attached to produce and finance the next Terminator movie. But no, that doesn’t mean his frequent collaborator Tom Cruisewill appear in the film. Ellison’s Skydance Pictures will partner with his sister, Megan Ellison (Zero Dark Thirty) to bring the long-gestating fifth chapter in the Terminator series to the big screen. [Deadline]
Ted writer-director Seth MacFarlane has set western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West as his next film. The Family Guy creator will direct and star in the film, co-written by Ted scribes Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. Million Ways is said to be in the vein of Mel Brooks’ comedy, Blazing Saddles.
