“Miley and Liam are done; it’s over,” a source told Page Six. “She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.”
And Cyrus reportedly had her own reservations about her fiancé’s fidelity. “They have broken up before, and are broken up again now. There was drama because she suspected he had a wandering eye,” another source added. “She recently tweeted a denial that he cheated. While Miley has insisted they are still together, right now they are very, very much apart.”
Now Hemsworth, 23, has fled from Hollywood — leaving Cyrus, 20, behind — to head to his homeland Australia, where he has been spotted shirtless on the shore and out shopping with his mother, Leonie Hemsworth.
Word of the wedding being called off comes on the heels of turbulent times for the couple, who announced their engagement last June. First, tabloids started to speculate the pair hit troubled time when Hemsworth was spotted leaving a pre-Oscar soiree with January Jones while Cyrus took her mother, Trish Cyrus — and not her beau — to Elton John’s annual party on the same evening.
That then prompted Cyrus to quit Twitter, as she bemoaned the “lies that come with” life in the limelight. “I didn’t call off my wedding,” she wrote. “Taking a break from social media.” But Cyrus only further fueled the rumor mill when she stepped out sans engagement ringfor a night out in Los Angeles, Calif.
And throughout all the hoopla, the couple has not been seen together in public since late January. Following a PDA-filled getaway to Costa Rica, Cyrus and Hemsworth headed up north to Ottawa, Canada, where they visited a stopped in to local shops.
