Miley Cyrus is again proving she simply “Can’t Be Tamed” — especially not by a bra.
The star strikes a bold, brassiere-less pose — as per usual — for her ELLE UK debut cover. Much like her Cosmopolitan cover, Cyrus confidently channels her new-found punk style for the British magazine’s June 2013 issue, donning a silky, sleeveless Lanvin top with a simple Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane gold vermeil pendant dangling down her chest.
The cover is a certain sign that the Cyrus publicity train has left the station. After a years-long hiatus from the airwaves, the singer-actress is expected to make her grand return to music this summer with a highly-anticipated album, which she has promised is “coming soon.”
“My friends, my relationships with like everyone around me has honestly changed since I’ve been working on my record, because it is the only thing that I have wanted to give 120 percent to,” Cyrus explained when she joined pal Will.i.am in a Google+ live chat Tuesday. “I think it is like the only time in my life that I have pushed everything aside, everyone aside, anything you know that really mattered and it really became just about the music.”
As her fans eagerly await the collection, Cyrus has given a clue to her new sound in her latest collaboration with Snoop Dogg — er, Snoop Lion? — on the single “Ashtrays and Heartbreak,” a track produced by Diplo and Ariel Rechtshaid.
Now mark your calendars for May 1, when ELLE UK‘s new issue — see the second cover, below — goes on sale, to see if Cyrus finally sets the record straight on the rampant rumors she’s split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
