He did so on Australian radio show “The Kyle and Jackie Show” (yes, that “Kyle and Jackie Show”) while announcing plans to celebrate his upcoming three birthday parties alone.
“Imma do it solo,” Brown announced with the self-importance of someone who has been granted a second, third, fourth and fifth chance by a complicit public. “I mean at the end of the day, shorty doing her thing. She on the road … It’s always gonna be love, but, you know, I’m just gonna do me.”
When asked if the two were soulmates, Brown had this to say:
At the end of the day … One thing I always want to do is never disrespect anybody or put nobody down. So the way I look at it is, I’m always going to love that person but people have differences and people have different wants and needs. And at the end of the day, she a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wife-ing sombody that young. And I’m young too, so I can’t focus on that right now.
For the record: Chris Brown is 15 months younger than Rihanna.Las Vegas Sun reports that his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran was in attendance.
In the meantime, Rihanna is in New York. She was supposed to perform at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center that night, however the concert had to be postponed until tomorrow after the Brooklyn Nets forced a game seven against the Chicago Bulls in the NBA playoffs.
