Today, Pippa Middleton headed into the All England Club for Wimbledon 2013, where Novak Djokovic played Juan Martin Del Potro in the men’s singles semi-finals. Sitting in center court with her boyfriend, Nico Jackson, Middleton looked ten kinds of loved up as the two whispered into each other’s ears during the match.
Middleton’s older sister, the Duchess of Cambridge is due any day now, and the press has already camped out across the street from St. Mary’s hospital in London. It’s been reported that Pippa was the first person Catherine told about her pregnancy.
In other royal news, Prince Harry has qualified as an Apache Aircraft Commander. St. James’s Palace confirmed the news today via their website.
“This is a tremendous achievement for Captain Wales who passed with flying colours,” the prince’s commanding oficer, Lt. Col. Tom de la Rue said. “I am delighted that his new status as a qualified Apache Aircraft Commander and Co-Pilot Gunner places him at the very top of his profession.”
Harry (or Captain Wales as he’s known in the British army) completely a six-hour assessment, during which time he was tested in his ability to peform as an Aircraft Commander through a range of tactical and procedural scenarios.
This included planning and delivering patrol orders, navigating throughout, flying in a controlled airspace and conducting a simulated attack on RAF Spadeadam. In addition, he had to manage a number of diversions and simulated aircraft emergencies.
