CommentBuzz: The Week’s Best Reader Comments About Cory Monteith, Kim Kardashian, and More

Welcome, welcome, one and all, to yet another celebration of all things you. (You’re welcome, by the way, for that kindhearted introduction!)

How was your week? Was it great? Was it hot? My week was hot. And not, unfortunately, in a Paris Hilton-type way. I mean in a “Why did I think moving to New York was a good idea, this place is a scorching hell hole!” way. Because seriously, the heat. And the humidity. I hope everyone reading this lives in Antarctica, and if you do, I envy you! At the very least, I hope everyone has air conditioning.

Anyway, anyway. The time has come, yet again, for me to share some of the best reader comments submitted over the last week. Remember, to be featured, all you need to do is leave a comment on your favorite articles. And now, without further delay…

The biggest — and most tragic — story of the week was, of course, Cory Monteith‘s passing. Our readers offered some condolences:

“That’s Very sad, R.I.P.” – mslandy7

“So sad. He was a great talent. R.I.P.” – Alexia

Kim Kardashianbroke her post-birth silence, and you responded in kind:

“I wish whatever ‘magic pill’ Kim K takes cuz I need a bottle. She’s always positive and just always in dreamy heaven of everything is beautiful.” – Laleeann Cook

Miley Cyrusaddressed remarks about her sexuality, and then you addressed her remarks:

“Little does Miley know that if she is saying “I’ve been called worse”, she’s still essentially saying that being called a lesbian is a bad thing. Being called a lesbian should mean absolutely nothing. In fact, it could be interpreted as a compliment because it might mean that you are breaking the stereotypical form of beauty for a woman. Rethink labels.” – thebluenightsky

We all enjoyed Demi Lovato‘s new video together:

“love this video it really touches the heart <3” – Amanda

It was announced that Jenny McCarthy would replace Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View, and we can tell everyone’s really, really excited:

“Yawnnnnnn…..Well, at least she’s good looking, a lot more than I can say for all of those other fugly, brainless blowhards who’ve resting their brains on the cobweb covered chairs all the years…zzzzzzz” – Stephen

“Would’ve been more exciting if the other blond nut-case had stuck around.” – magico

We spoke of the 2013 Emmy Awards, and the general consensus is that somebody was snubbed:

I’m guessing this conversation took place, ohhh, about 4 or 5 months ago, before Orphan Black hit the airwaves?__Tatiana Maslany beats ’em all!! And it looks like you all fell victim to the age-old bias against sci-fi. Nobody – and I mean noone! – did a better job of acting this past season than Tatiana.__I could tell you that her playing seven different clones was the most amazing & impressive performance(s) I’ve ever seen, but you’ll just have to see for yourself. And I sincerely hope you do/did so before voting, else you’ve just – or will soon lose – all credibility!” – mumblenny

“No discussion of Tatiana Maslany??? Certainly you just reprinted your 2012 “Countdown to Emmys: A Quick Chat About Best Actress in a Drama Series” piece. Nothing worse than lazy reviewers. I guess it’s too much to expect that you actually watch all the relevant shows before opining.” – Andy

That’s all we have time for this week, Celebuzzers. Thanks for contributing! Remember, if you want to be featured in next week’s CommentBuzz, simply leave comments on your favorite articles.
