I guess it pays to get divorced.
Soon-to-be single blood sucking hottie Paul Wesley has just sold his Mediterranean retreat high in the hills of Los Angeles for a nice chunk of change — $1.6 million to be exact, Celebuzz has learned.
The Vampire Diaries star, who announced he and his wife of two years Torrey DeVitto were calling it quits in July, are separating their assets — and the silver lining is they’ve made a pretty decent profit.
After splashing out nearly $1 million for the Hollywood Hills home in Dec. 2011, they listed the pad for nearly $1.6 million in August — and only one month after hitting the market sold it for more than $1.7 million.
Wesley, who moved into the romantic 1920s villa in Dec. 2011 (just eight months after tying the knot), completely remodeled the pad perched above the celeb-enclave of Beachwood Canyon.
Complete with tons of privacy and charm, the vintage details were kept intact, including the large rotunda entryway, tile floors, high beamed ceilings and gorgeous oak staircase leading to the garden.
The 3-bedroom home is swathed in sunshine through the abundant French windows and doors that overlook the terrace from the master suite to the dining and living rooms, while the priceless canyon view can be seen from the expansive flagstone patio surrounded by lush greenery, a pergola and fountains.
And that’s not including some of the newest upgrades like a separate office and gym room, master-crafted wood windows, music system, and plenty of security cameras to keep the paps and diehard Diaries fans away.
