According to reports, Emilia Clarke, aka Daenerys Targaryen, is set to take a break from reclaiming the Iron Throne on the small screen and start fighting for the sake of humanity on the big screen.

Both Deadline and Entertainment Weekly are reporting that The Mother of Dragons will star as Sarah Connor in an upcoming reboot of the Terminator franchise.

Linda Hamilton originated the role in The Terminator and Clarke’s Game of Thrones costar, Lena Headey, continued the story in the Fox series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Speculation to do with the new film has run rampant for weeks. That includes recent reports that Jason Clarke, who isn’t related to Emilia in real life, will play Sarah’s son and the leader of the revolution, John Connor. There is also talk that a new television series will somehow live in the same universe as the rebooted film.

What we do know is that Alan Taylor, the man who directed Thor: The Dark World and several episodes of Game of Thrones, is set to direct the movie that will hit theaters in July 2015.
