Who knew Jennifer Lawrence would become a franchise queen?

She has The Hunger Games, The X-Men films and now her X-Men character Mystique could get a movie franchise all her own.

Lawrence apparently takes on an even larger role in the new X-Men: Days of Future Past, one that would justify a standalone film for her blue-hued shape-shifting mutant. “There was a regime [at the studio] that didn’t see the worth in [spin-offs], and the current people who run Fox understand, embrace it, and we’re going to do right by it,” producer Lauren Shuler Donner told EW. “I’d like to do Gambit. I’d like to do Deadpool. We’ll see. There’s a lot of really great characters.”

X-Men: Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg said, “I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her, and I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo.”

I think it would make a fun spin-off. Plus, we need another female led action film franchise.

X-Men: Days of Future Past, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 23.
