But because life isn’t perfect and Lilo doesn’t always win, the world is waking up this morning to reports that the actress actually forgot some of her lines in the show.
From the Daily Beast:
“After her first audible prompt, which came shortly after the interval, the audience sat patiently. The second led to titters in the stalls. Unfortunately for Lohan, the next line delivered by Richard Schiff (Toby from The West Wing) was: ‘You have done a fantastic job!'”
Despite the whole forgetting-her-lines thing, Lohan “remained charming throughout,” writes the Daily Beast’s Nico Hines.
To make the night even more interesting, the 28-year-old actress also suffered a minor wardrobe malfunction. Fortunately for Lohan, not much was exposed as it was just the puffing of her “untucked” blouse — whatever that means.
Still in disbelief over Lohan’s West End debut? May I present, a sampling from Twitter:
Major kudos to the woman who was feeding Lindsay Lohan her lines from offstage at #speedtheplow

Speed the Plow is truly awful, school play level of amateurish nonsense. No one but Nigel Lindsay knew their lines

When an audience laughs at the line “you were fantastic” in an ironic way, you know you should cut your losses #speedtheplow

Let’s hope night two is better for dear Lilo. The production is scheduled for a limited run through Nov. 29.
